Time Is An Illusion…

…lunchtime, doubly so.

The immortal words of Douglas Adams. He had a point.

As a Scrum Master, I’m always dealing with matters of time, be it with estimates, planning, development, rituals, lunch.. time is part of the furniture of software development. But I have other interests, two of which are neuroscience (and specifically the subject of consciousness) and physics. Both of these disciplines have a lot to say about time, and how its passing basically is an illusion.

On my travels around the web, I curate a couple of public Flipboard magazines. This one is stuffed full of stuff about Agile things and in this one I collect stories about science. Today I added this Scientific American article entitled “Time on the Brain: How You Are Always Living In the Past, and Other Quirks of Perception.” I recommend you read it. If you have time..
